AEF Global biopesticides has moved into new manufacturing facility
Lévis – AEF Global has announced that it has moved last year into a new manufacturing facility in Levis Quebec, CANADA. In the presence of various guests and partners, Erik Tremblay its President and Owner and Mr Robert Masella, CEO have announced that the AEF Global team is now well in place in its new facility. We are very proud of this new facility and we will have plenty of space for our future growth. The needs for effective biopesticides is increasing and AEF has been doing this for over 26 years.
Moving is never an easy venture but with the very good collaboration and professionalism of MM André Fortin and Simon Aubert of IMAFA this project was done within the timeframe and budget we had set. Our new facility will allow us to tackle the challenges for the next decade more efficiently and continue to service our customers in Canada and the United States.
Since its early start in 1997, AEF has developed and formulated various products with 3 active ingredients. Garlic, and organic acids are the basis for its fungicides-bactericides Buran-Influence and Cyclone-Tivano. It is also the only Canadian company to have developed its own strain of Bacillus thuringiensis-kurstaki (BTK) bioinsecticide product. Since its launch 20 years ago, it has gained significant market share in Canada under the brand Bioprotec. AEF has also launched its Bioprotec PLUS in the US ag market more recently in 2017. The Btk is also sold in Malaisia and under registration in other territories.

AEF Global was formed in 1997 in Sherbrooke and has moved into the business incubator AG Biocentre in Lévis where it stayed between 2003 to 2016. In 2016, AEF moved into its first manufacturing facility where it was able to reunite manufacturing, R&D labs and offices under the same roof. June 10, 2020: AEF Global Inc. is proud to announce that its products CYCLONE and BIOPROTEC PLUS are now allowed for use in Field Grown Cannabis and Industrial Hemp. These uses were approved by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency on June 9, 2020.

June 7 2017. - New Label extension for Buran granted by PMRA. Buran Biological Fungicide now has a registration for control of powdery mildew, when used with a surfactant. This registration boosts the label that already has suppression of scab in apple. Having both diseases on the label and with the unique mode of action allows all apple growers to have a new resistance tool to integrate into their IPM fungicide programs. As a biological product Buran has excellent crop and worker safety and has a 0 day PHI and quick re-entry period.
