AEF Global is a Quebec business enterprise specializing in biopesticides, integrated products and natural fertilizers for ornamental horticulture, agriculture and forestry. Throughout the years, efforts in the development and marketing of innovative, environmentally friendly products have allowed us to become a Canadian leader in pest management and practical solutions in horticulture. Amongst our product lines, BIOPROTEC is the main registered trademark.

Profile

AEF Global was created in 1997 to develop a product line based on Bacillus thuringiensis to control spruce budworm infestation in the domain of forestry. The anticipated spruce budworm epidemic, however, never fully took hold. Therefore, AEF Global turned with success to the commercialization of products for agriculture in Canada.

In 2003, Quebec’s new “Pesticides Management Code” opened the market to AEF Global in the field of ornamental horticulture and garden center retail. Taking advantage of new opportunity, the company developed, produced and commercialized approximately fifty retail products, now distributed in more than 250 garden centers and hardware stores, as well as chain outlets in Canada.

The return of the spruce budworm in 2009 allowed AEF Global to maintain its position as a Canadian leader in the production of biopesticides to control this epidemic, and since then, the enterprise has continued research for the development of new forestry products.

Today, AEF Global continues to proudly serve in the fields of forestry, agriculture and ornamental horticulture. Committed to its goals, AEF Global researches, develops and commercialises new products in order to answer customer needs, all the while upholding responsible business practice.
